March Madness is upon us. The Michigan women will appear in the NCAA Tournament. The men will play in the NIT.
We discuss both teams’ matchups, as well as preview the hockey team’s Big Ten championship game, on the latest episode of the Wolverine Confidential podcast.
The conversation starts with the men, who fell apart in the second half of their Big Ten Tournament opener against Rutgers and therefore ended any hopes of an NCAA Tournament invitation. Juwan Howard’s team accepted an NIT bid and will host Toledo on Tuesday night before a potential second-round trip to Vanderbilt.
The women are the 6 seed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and will face 11 seed UNLV in the opener on Friday. The winner will likely play 3 seed LSU on its home floor. Can Kim Barnes Arico’s squad make another deep run?
Plus, Michigan hockey is set for a Big Ten title game against Minnesota. No matter what happens, the Wolverines will be participating in the NCAA Tournament.
