Turquoise waters lapping at the shore, gentle sea breezes rustling the palm trees, and your laptop open on a sun-drenched balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea. This is what awaits you if you apply for the Digital Nomad Visa being offered by Turkiye. As is the trend of late, Turkey has joined the list of countries that are offering digital nomad visas to remote workers employed by companies outside Türkiye or freelancers with international clients.

Recently, countries like Italy, Spain and Japan have rolled out digital nomad visas for international workers to bolster their economy and tourism industries.

How To Apply For Türkiye Digital Nomad Visa

If you’re between the ages of 21 and 55 and hail from most EU countries, the UK, USA, or Canada, you can apply for the visa, which will allow you to work remotely in the country from 6 months to 1 year, with renewal possibilities.

To qualify for the visa, you need to demonstrate a monthly income of $3,000 (€2,800) or an annual income of $36,000 (€33,800). This is in addition to proof of employment or a business contract. The Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry has simplified the process through a user-friendly website. You can easily check the criteria and complete an application form. Upon approval, you’ll be required to visit your nearest Turkish consulate or visa center with your Digital Nomad Identification Certificate.
