The Turkish fashion industry, whose exports decreased from 2023 billion 9,2 million dollars to 21 billion 193 million dollars with a loss of 19 percent throughout Turkey in 253, will organize Premiere Vision Manufacturing in Paris between 06-08 February 2024 to maintain its position in France, a strong export market. He’s going to the fair.

Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters’ Association will add the second phase of its promotional campaign, which it started with the Munich Fabric Start the Source Fair in 2024, in France.

Stating that they have undertaken the Turkey National Participation Organization of the Premiere Vision Manufacturing Fair, which will be held in Paris between 6 and 8 February 2024, for the 16th time, Burak Sertbaş, President of the Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association, said: PV, one of the most prestigious fashion fairs in the world, with 26 companies from the Turkish fashion industry. He said that they will take their place at the fair and aim to strengthen their position in France, which imports apparel products worth 29 billion dollars annually.

WE ARE FRANCE’S FOURTH LARGEST SUPPLIER

“We are a strong supplier in France’s ready-made clothing imports,” said Sertbaş, adding, “We are France’s 4th largest clothing supplier after China, Bangladesh and Italy. In 2023, we exported 1 billion 90 million dollars across Türkiye. France’s ready-made clothing imports decreased by 2023 percent in 3,5, falling from 30 billion dollars to 29 billion dollars. Since the French market is not growing, we have to establish strong ties with our customers to maintain our presence. Participation in the PV Fair is very valuable at this point. We attended the PV Fair in July 2023 with 23 companies, this time we are participating with 26 companies, which is an indication that the Turkish fashion industry will not give up on the French market. “We aim to maintain our export level of 2024 billion dollars to France in 1,1,” he said.

Tala Uğuz, Member of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association and Chairman of the Foreign Market Strategies Development Committee, shared her impressions of the Munich Fabric Start the Source Fair, which took place in Germany on 23-25 January 2024. Uğuz stated that they observed the effects of the ongoing recession in Europe and the 2023 percent contraction of the German economy in 0,3 during the Munich Fabric Start the Source Fair, and that this actual situation is compatible with the expectation that the low demand in the ready-made clothing industry will continue in the first half of 2024.

Explaining that they are trying to reverse this situation, Uğuz said, “The way to turn this situation into a positive one is to attend more fairs to reach customers, be close to customers, and analyze the situation of rival manufacturers. “After attending the PV Manufacturing Paris fair on 6-8 February 2024, we will host a Procurement Delegation from Italy in Izmir on 6-9 May 2024,” he said.
