Türkiye-based defense technology company RobotEye AI has successfully secured an investment from ARZ Portfoy, a renowned investor in Turkish tech startups, valuing the company at $12.5 million.

Specializing in advanced smart surveillance and reconnaissance systems, RobotEye AI is poised to address the growing demand for border security solutions across Western Europe, North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Indo-Pacific regions.

The company’s cutting-edge technology caters to the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance needs of challenging terrains where traditional border security systems fall short due to inadequate communication infrastructure.

Cost-effective, fully autonomous

By leveraging field-proven AI algorithms, RobotEye AI offers cost-effective and fully autonomous solutions. Its command and control software platform, “Central,” enhances the efficiency of existing defense systems.

The company’s flagship product, “Smart Trailcam – Solo,” combines satellite connectivity with on-device edge AI to ensure security in critical border crossings. Additionally, its “Eye” system provides situational awareness for tactical and special operations units operating in sensitive border zones.

Ferit Cakici, CEO of RobotEye AI, expressed gratitude for the investment and emphasized the company’s commitment to accelerating growth and expanding technological capabilities to address international security threats.

Border security technologies gain momentum

Recent security challenges worldwide underscore the urgent need for AI-powered defense technologies. Companies like Anduril Industries, Helsing, and Shield AI are gaining prominence for their unmanned and smart defense solutions.

The growing momentum behind AI-powered defense solutions is further exemplified by investments in companies like Athens-based Lambda Automata, which recently received 6 million euros ($6.4 million) from European Union members.
