Finnish developer Supercell has announced adjustments to in-app prices for users in Egypt, Myanmar, and Turkey. If you’re from any of these regions, you’ll be experiencing changes in the purchase price of any item/cosmetic within the Supercell games you have installed.

Supercell Games’ price adjustments come after changes in taxes and foreign exchange rates

As given in their official announcement, starting from March 27th, 2024, the price adjustments will take effect in Egypt, Myanmar, and Turkey to reflect the latest foreign exchange rates. The average increases in the Egyptian Pound, Myanmar Kyat, and Turkish Lira will be approximately 75%, 35%, and 15% respectively.

However, do note that in Myanmar, adjustments and increases will only affect in-game purchases sold in Myanmar Kyat, while USD prices will remain unchanged. Additionally, in Benin, a country in the West African region, prices will be increased due to the introduction of an 18% value-added tax (VAT).

So, if you are from any of the regions, you will notice the changes in the purchasable already in Supercell games, be it Clash of ClansClash Royale, Brawl Stars, or Hay Day. This might be reflected across the Supercell Store too, if you are using it for purchases, so check it before you are heading for it.

This is not the first time Supercell has announced changes regarding its pricing. On October 27th, 2023, prices of in-game purchases in Nigeria, Turkey, Pakistan, and Tanzania were increased to reflect foreign exchange rate changes.

Earlier this year in January, price adjustments were followed in Kenya, Bangladesh, and Paraguay, and were adjusted according to the eurozone in Croatia. On March 5th, 2024, prices of in-game purchases in Nigeria were increased by an average of 110% to reflect the sharp devaluation of the Nigerian Naira during the year.
