The Warren Lions Club annual turkey dinner will be held Thursday at St. Joseph’s starting at 4 p.m. The event generates about one-third of the Lions’ annual fundraising.

The Lions Club annual turkey dinner is set for this Thursday.

The event will run from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s in Warren.

“Over the years this event has been one of our most successful events, producing approximately one third of our funds each year,” Mike Holtz said.

“Helen Keller dubbed Lions members as ‘the Knights of the Blind,’ and as Warren Lions, we wear that badge proudly,” he added.

Organizations that the Warren Lions have supported include Toys for Tots, Warren Sports Boosters, Warren Four Flags Committee, Warren Youth Connection, Boy Scout Troop 9, A Safe Place, Family Services of Warren County, Warren-Forest EOC, Allegheny Community Center and the Warren County CAC.

“We ask that you partner with us to help those less fortunate citizens who need help the most with their sight and hearing challenges,” Holtz said.

The dinner will be “take out” only. Tickets are $15 but walk-ins are welcome.
