Thanksgiving and turkeys go hand and hand. Any Yakima Valley residents who might need that centerpiece to their holiday meal can stop by a turkey giveaway in Sunnyside Tuesday afternoon.
The Junior League of Yakima, Sunnyside Police Department and Ace Hardware are collaborating to give away more than 100 turkeys at 3 p.m. at 615 Yakima Valley Highway.
Ziply Fiber, Sunnyside Meat Packers and Best Built Construction are helping to sponsor the event and the first 125 turkeys will come with Thanksgiving meal fixings.
Attendees can find the giveaway in the Ace Hardware parking lot in Sunnyside, on the corner of the Yakima Valley Highway and North Sixth Street.
