FAIRFIELD, Texas (KBTX) – The Centerville girls’ basketball team lost to LaPoynor 60-39 in the bi-district round of teh UIL Playoffs at Fairfield’s Johnson Activity Center Monday night.

The Lady Tigers broke the scoring seal late in the first quarter on a free throw. Centerville’s first made field goal came on a three-pointer from Paige Schwab in the second quarter to trail 14-4. Morgan Brooke then caught fire as the Lady Tigers headed into halftime trailing 22-11.

Centerville ends its season with a 14-21 record after not making teh playoffs last year.
