Turkish Cypriots are concerned about education, health, the increasing cost of living, social injustice, public infrastructure and the mental health of youth, Yeniduzen reports.

The response was that health, education, the state of the roads, the cost of living, social injustice and anxiety of today’s youth about the future were top priorities for change.

In interviews Yeniduzen carried out with Turkish Cypriots, one interviewee noted that transitioning schools into full-time education in the occupied north, without establishing the necessary infrastructure, has led to a chaotic situation.

Another interviewee stated that health, transport and education are facing numerous problems which should be addressed swiftly.

Yet another interviewee noted that as the weather changes, the bad state of the roads will cause accidents.
